Kentucky Circuit Court is the general trial court. The research map lists Circuit Court as the primary trial court and District Court as a lower court for many first-contact records. Oldham County record access also has a separate County Clerk office, which is not a court case clerk.

Oldham County ePay Limits
Kentucky ePay is useful for eligible fines, costs, and traffic payments. It is not the general Circuit Court record file. A traffic matter may be a District Court record, and payment can have legal consequences if it counts as a plea or disposition. For that reason, traffic users should call District Traffic when the citation is unclear, the case does not appear, or a failure-to-appear issue may exist.
The Kentucky ePay portal is the official payment source for eligible court costs and fines.
ePay can support payment lookup, but certified records, full docket history, and contested court questions still need CourtNet or the Circuit Court Clerk.
Oldham County Circuit Records Access
Kentucky's open-records statutes apply to public agencies, while court records also depend on court rules, confidentiality law, and case-specific orders. KRS 61.870 to 61.884 frames public-record access, and KRS 61.878 lists exemptions. Expungement statutes such as KRS 431.073, KRS 431.076, and KRS 431.078 can affect what appears in public criminal or traffic searches after court and agency processing.
Restricted records include juvenile matters, adoption records, sealed or expunged records, some mental-health proceedings, protected addresses, Social Security numbers, financial account data, and victim or safety-sensitive details. Certified copies should be requested from the Circuit Court Clerk, not from a screenshot or third-party search result. A certified judgment, divorce decree, felony disposition, or court order may be needed for legal filings, licensing, benefits, employment review, or another court. The research did not locate a current certified-copy fee table, so the clerk should confirm the amount and payment method before the request is made.

Oldham County Clerk Comparison
The Oldham County Clerk is a separate office located at 100 W Jefferson St #1 in La Grange. That office handles marriage licenses, land records, legal recordings, elections, passports, and other county clerk functions. eCCLIX may show recorded wills, marriages, mortgages, deeds, liens, name changes, powers of attorney, and other legal recordings. Those documents can relate to court issues, but they are not Circuit Court case files.
For a certified felony disposition, civil judgment, divorce decree, traffic court record, District Court probate order, or docket entry, use the Circuit Court Clerk path. For a marriage license, deed, recorded will instrument, mortgage, or county clerk open-records request, use the County Clerk path.
